Beluga & Cachalote - Cruise Ships Logos

Beluga & Cachalote - Cruise Ships Logos

When Enchanted Adventures approached us to create three logos for their cruise ship/charter yacht company that organizes cruises in Galapagos, we were thrilled to take on the challenge. They needed a logo for they cruise and charter ships, M/C Beluga and M/V Cachalote, as well as a combined version of both. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase our design skills while helping Enchanted enhance their brand identity and stand out in their industry.

We drew inspiration from minimalist Japanese designs when creating the logos for Enchanted. The clean lines and simple yet striking shapes found in Japanese design aligned well with our angle of approach. We designed sleek versions of a beluga and a cachalote and incorporated them in a compass rose with stylized waves, just to reinforce Enchanted’s expertise in navigating the waters of the region. Overall, our logos capture the essence of Enchanted’s commitment to providing unforgettable cruises in one of the most beautiful and unique destinations in the world.

Initially, we designed the logos in black, but we decided on a dark slate blue color for the final version. The blue color symbolizes trust, security, and professionalism, which are all values that Enchanted wants to convey to its customers. The color also reflects the company’s connection to the ocean and its commitment to preserving the marine ecosystem.

To ensure that the logos were visually appealing and easy to read, we used a sans-serif, bold, and slightly compressed font to write the names of the two ships, M/V Beluga and M/V Cachalote Explorer, in a circle inside the logos. This font conveys a sense of modernity and clarity, which aligns with Enchanted’s focus on providing high-quality services.

To test the logos, we applied them to various materials and mocked them up on images of yachts. We also created mockups of the logos as rubber stamps, polo t-shirts, baseball caps, and stamps on postcards. We chose a breezy color palette of light teals and blueberry blue to complement the logos and convey a sense of relaxation and adventure.

Overall, our design choices reflected Enchanted’s brand identity and values, which positively impacted their branding and how they are perceived by their customers. The logos helped Enchanted stand out in a crowded market and attract customers who value ocean exploration and adventure.
