In 2018 we were happy to be contacted by Visul Luanei, a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for injured wildlife and providing reproductive control for both domestic and stray animals. With a deep commitment to minimizing the negative impact of human presence on wild animals, the foundation responds to field requests and provides specialized consultancy services to authorities and civil society on issues related to human-animal interaction, first aid, and safe transportation of animals in distress to competent institutions.
In 2015, Visul Luanei established the Center for Rescue and Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Bucharest, where more than 9,000 wild animals from over 120 species, mainly from southern Romania, have received medical care to date. The center also offers daily specialized telephone counseling services. As part of their long-term plan, the foundation aims to make the Rehabilitation Center a reference institution for the reproduction and rehabilitation of native wild animals with vulnerable and critically endangered status. They also plan to create partnerships with authorities to confiscate illegally captive wild animals and care for them at the Center, where they can be rehabilitated and eventually released into the wild.
For their logo, we created a stylized otter climbing on a veterinary cross, which is a plus sign that represents the care provided by Visul Luanei to injured wildlife. We chose a bright and vibrant green color, Mantis Green, for the cross to convey the foundation’s commitment to environmental preservation and the importance of the natural world. We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with such a passionate and dedicated organization and to contribute to their important mission of protecting and rehabilitating wildlife.
